Winter Weekend

The Winter Weekend is a Friday to Sunday residential event held early in January, currently at Nottingham University.

This year people attending for the first time can get a £25 discount by solving the Hat Problem set at last year’s Weekend.

The Weekend provides an opportunity to do some recreational mathematics, not module-based, with a friendly group of like-minded people. The relaxed and social approach delivers maths for fun.

The 35th M500 Society Winter Weekend will be held at Florence Boot Hall, Nottingham University from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th January 2017.

The Weekend costs £210 for M500 members and £215 for non-members. This includes accommodation and all meals from dinner on Friday to lunch on Sunday.

If you haven’t been to a Winter Weekend before, and don’t know what it’s about, read Information on the Winter Weekend (PDF), read a personal review of the 2011 weekend or have a look at a sample of the material from previous Weekends.

To book a place please complete the booking form (docx, pdf) and send it with your payment to Diana Maxwell.
